Our Story
Jamie has been baking and cooking for over 20 years. He started as a pastry chef in restaurant kitchens on the island of Martha’s Vineyard in Cape Cod. In 1993 his passion for cooking got the best of him and it led him to attend The Culinary Institute of America, in Hype Park, NY. After finishing his training, he went on to run kitchens, restaurants, and resorts from Cape Cod to Atlanta, and then finally Scottsdale, AZ.
Growing up in New York surrounded by some of most authentic cuisines in the world, he saw the need to bring some of that flavor to Arizona. After years of trying to incorporate his background and training, it was only natural that he chose to bring the famous New York Style Cheesecakes to the Phoenix marketplace.
 Jamie has been making cheesecakes for his family and friends for over 10 years. Every holiday, birthday, special occasion, or when someone just had a craving, Jamie was asked to make one of his cheesecakes. At one family gathering, several out-of-town family members said they wished they could find cheesecake like Jamie’s in their hometown. Jamie and his family realized that authentic cheesecake, and places to get it, were also missing from the Phoenix metropolitan area; hence, CheesecakesbyJamie.com was born.
